RALLY DAY
SEPTEMBER 7, 2025
Inspired by Gethsemane’s challenge budget, this year’s Rally Day theme is Rising to the Challenge. With tons of fun activities for the whole family, and an especially yummy menu, you are all invited to join us on Sept 7 after our 9:30 AM worship service to celebrate being community and look forward to the many opportunities for coming together we offer this fall.
This year we are especially asking you to consider your financial giving to Gethsemane. In these challenging times we boldly took on a challenge budget that is far from being realized. Current contributions are not meeting our needs and we ask you to take some time to reflect on how you can help us in meeting the challenge before us.
Each year we are reminded that we do this ministry together, and without all of you, we could not do all that we are able to provide for the community. Let’s rally together on Rally Day and Rise to the Challenge as we continue to give in support of the ministries we share.
Last spring, the women of Gethsemane gathered for an evening of meditation, prayer, silence & noise, and ritual around the vernal equinox. It was a profoundly moving time of presence and practice together, one we all agreed needed to happen more often! And so Pastor Amy and Pastor Lydia are excited to announce that we will once more host an Autumn Equinox Gathering on September 21 at 7:30 PM.
Throughout the evening we will spend time together exploring practices of self-care and community-care for the body, mind, and soul, as we consider the rich history of ritual bonding among communities of women throughout Scripture and time. And we’ll practice presence in the liminal in-between-ness of the equinox, when the day and night share equal time across 24 hours, and prepare our transition into the wintering months.
This event is open to all who identify as women across generations, and parents are invited to bring children of all genders under 4 years of age, and daughters of all ages.
