SUNDAY MORNING ADULT FORUMS
9:45AM IN THE FIRESIDE GALLERY
Join us this year as we gather to explore “What Is Beloved Community" and how do we embody it across our lives and culture. We have already begun these conversations about what it means to be Beloved, and how we can Be Loved and Be Love to others each other in community — but we still need YOUR voice and your presence! We are not Us without You. We cannot Become who we are designed to be without You. Please join us! Come, Be, Belong, and help us Become Beloved Community.
PALESTINE/ISRAEL
15 MONTHS AFTER OCTOBER 7:
WHERE ARE WE?
In December 2023 we hosted two community conversations between Rabbi Jill Avrin and GLC's Palestinian-American member, Moneer Rifai. Much has happened over the year+ that's passed, so they teamed up again on Sunday, February 2 to host a third conversation on where we are now, with co-moderators Steve Lear and Emma Rifai.

THE HISTORY OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES
OF THE NORTH AMERICAS
On Sundays November 24th and December 15th, Gethsemane Member Jessica Olson gave the first two presentations in a serires on The History of the Indigenous Peoples of the North Americas -- from an indigenous perspective.
In the first presentation, Jessica provided a broad overview of Indigenous History in the US. And in the second, she introduced us to Indigenous Cultures of the upper Midwest and answered questions.
Stay tuned, as Jessica will be continuing this conversation into the New Year!
SMART SALTING
On December 1st, Gethsemane's Green Team hosted our Adult Forum on Smart Salting with Gethsemane's own Madeline Seveland, Senior Outreach & Engagement Specialist with Carver County Planning & Water Management. She talked about how when too much de-icing salt is used on sidewalks, driveways, and roads, it washes into lakes and rivers, where it dissolves into chloride, a permanent pollutant toxic to fish aquatic insects, and amphibians. Salt is also corrosive, damaging parking lots, walkways, bridges, and buildings. It can also harm our pets who may lick it off their paws or drink too much snow melt.
WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY
Mondays at 10:30 AM
Join Pastor Amy on Monday mornings for a weekly Bible Study in The Copper Room (Pr. Amy and Pr. Lydia's shared space).
Each week we will gather to read from the lectionary then move into a time of reflection, sharing, contemplation, and conversation as the Holy Spirit leads.
All Are welcome!
INSIDE THE TEXT
Every Wednesday Online
Each week one of our pastors shares a short Bible study video on the gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday. Read along and learn some of the unique points of the scripture with historical context, literary criticism, and theological interpretations of the text. Learn why the preacher lifts up certain points of the text and how they fit themes we are focusing on at church. These lessons will enhance your ability to hear the Sunday sermon in a whole new way.

Men’s Ministry encompasses all men of Gethsemane, young and old. It provides Christian growth and fellowship opportunities to our congregation and community. The purpose of Men’s Ministry is to encourage Christian discipleship through four different areas of our lives: faithful worship attendance, living in God's word, serving Christ's church and the world, and fellowship with other male identifying people in our community.
