Each week one of our pastors shares a short Bible study video on the gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday. Read along and learn some of the unique points of the scripture with historical context, literary criticism, and theological interpretations of the text. Learn why the preacher lifts up certain points of the text and how they fit themes we are focusing on at church. These lessons will enhance your ability to hear the Sunday sermon in a whole new way.

Men’s Ministry encompasses all men of Gethsemane, young and old. It provides Christian growth and fellowship opportunities to our congregation and community. The purpose of Men’s Ministry is to encourage Christian discipleship through four different areas of our lives: faithful worship attendance, living in God's word, serving Christ's church and the world, and fellowship with other male identifying people in our community.

The Gethsemane Golf League is going strong! Our groups play at Glen Lake Golf Course in Minnetonka every Thursday; first tee time is usually around 9:00 AM. This Men’s Ministry Dinner is open to all people who wish to come learn about authentic storytelling and building bridges. We will gather to watch “There Is Only Us with John Noltner,” a powerful video designed to address how we can bridge divides in a polarized world. Featuring memorable stories, images, and sincere storytelling, this video will open the door to honest dialog about empathy, civility, and inclusion.
“There Is Only Us” was created to generate conversation. It is a thought-provoking and inspirational film reminding us that we are more alike than different. Featuring timely stories, John’s authentic style highlights the importance of being more inclusive. This team-focused program offers a safe place and process to have challenging, but necessary, conversations on ways to create a more empathetic culture.

John Noltner is a local photographer and founder of A Peace of My Mind, a multimedia arts project that uses portraits and personal stories to bridge divides and build community. Gethsemane has hosted his exhibits a few times over the years.

Gethsemane's budding women's ministry is for all women, girls, and femmes looking for a place to belong and explore the theology of the Divine Feminine and the power of Christ's incarnation as carried and shared by women like Mary Magdalene, the Holy Mother, and even us. Throughout the year we gather to celebrate and honor the elements of creation - earth, water, fire, air - through contemplation and communal ritual at the fall and spring equinoxes, and more in-between.

We will be intentional about our time in the in-between-ness of the equinox. This event is open to all who identify as women across generations, and parents are invited to bring children of all genders under 4 years of age, and daughters of all ages.

The Synod Senior Band is the “band of Seniors that play for Seniors.” This year’s concert theme is “We the People,” celebrating America’s diversity from a musical perspective. Gethsemane is celebrating three years of OWL events, and also lifting up all the seniors at the heart of our volunteer ministry. Whether you serve communion, help make quilts, work in the garden, participate in caring ministry, or share your time and gifts in any way, we want to show our appreciation.
