OUR MINISTRIES
OUR MINISTRIES
At Gethsemane, we believe in building strong, loving relationships with children and we partner with parent and adult volunteers to provide safe, fun and faith-filled programs and events. Our mission is to show these young children that they are cared for and loved by Jesus, and to give them opportunities to experience God in a way that will allow their faith to grow throughout their lifetime.
Our Children’s Ministry programs focus on building relationships with our youngest children and their families. We provide caring volunteers who teach children the basic stories of the Bible and help them encounter a loving relationship with Jesus. All children learn that church is a safe place, that everyone is welcome here, and that nothing—absolutely nothing—can separate them from the love of Christ.
For more information contact our Children's Ministry Innovator, Nina Zieska at (952) 935-1116 or Pastor Lydia Svenulski at (952) 935-1120.
YOUTH
Gethsemane’s youth ministriy is open to all teens interested in deepening their Christian faith and forming a supportive community with their peers. The heart of our ministry’s success is caring volunteers and eager support from the rest of the congregation.
Our mission is to show young people that they are cared for and loved by Jesus, and to give them opportunities to experience Jesus in a way that will allow their faith to grow throughout their lifetime.
Through activities, learning, serving, and leading, we provide opportunities for youth to experience and share Christ in their lives. Students do not need to belong to Gethsemane to participate in any of our programming or events.
For more information contact our Youth Director Chris Lovagnini at (952) 935-1114 or Pastor Amy Courts Koopman at (952) 935-1119.
We offer a variety of ways for adults to connect their faith to their every-day lives. From Sunday morning forums exploring topics like anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and what it means to live in Beloved Community; to Monday morning Bible Studies at 10:30am and Wednesday afternoon virtual Bible studies; to guest speakers and community conversations, our adult ministries serve everyone.
Join us for one or all of these opportunities and help us create more! Contact Pastor Amy Courts Koopman at (952) 935-1119.
Share your gift of music and develop spiritual friendships by joining a choir! Our music ministry offers opportunities for all singers and ringers. No auditions are needed; all are welcome!
For more information contact our Director of Music, Dr. Rob Reid at (952) 935-1118 or our Children's Music Director, Jill Reid.
