Join Us For Worship

We offer two different worshiping schedules depening on the time of the year, and you are welcome to join us in-person or online.

If you are joining us online, you can find our bulletins linked below. You can also find worship service and sermon archives there.

Our worship services are also broadcast each week on Comcast 15 or Centurylink 8111. Services are broadcast Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00 AM in Hopkins, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield.

FALL-WINTER-SPRING SCHEDULE

Sundays at 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM

SUMMER SCHEDULE

Sundays at 9:30 AM

WHAT TO EXPECT

Come as you are. We welcome people from all backgrounds and faith experiences to join us in worship. We invite you to dress up or dress down, whichever is most comfortable for you.
Children are always welcome in worship.
There are two worship styles to choose from: contempoary or traditional.
Media and projection are used during all services.
Hearing assistance devices are available; ask an usher for assistance.
Holy Communion is served every Sunday at both the 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM services. You are welcome. Visitors. Doubter. Believer. Questioners. Every age and size, color and culture. Every sexual orientation and gender identity. Every socio-economic status. Every ability and every challenge. There's room for us all and infinitely more to come feast and be nourshed at this holy meal.
Pastors preach from the Revised Common Lectionary as well as topical sermon series.
Refreshments are available between the two worship services, and we encourage you to stay and visit with one another before or after worship.

Worship Styles

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP
Sundays at 8:45 AM Fall, Winter, Spring

A high-energy worship led by a contemporary worship band (guitars, bass, drums, etc.)
Music includes a combination of hymns and contemporary praise songs, and is accompanied by piano, guitar, bass and vocalists.
Draws upon traditions of the Lutheran Church, but with a more casual approach.
Hymn and song lyrics are projected on a large screen.
Pastors dress in a casual style.
This service is streamed online and available on-demand.

Bulletin

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP
Sundays at 10:45 AM Fall, Winter, Spring

Full liturgy with traditional hymns led by organ or piano.
The liturgy, music and Bible readings are printed in an easy to read bulletin.
Pastors dress in traditional alb and stole.
Media screens are used.
This service is streamed online and available on-demand.

SPECIAL WORSHIP SERVICES

Throughout the year, Gethsemane offers special worship services recognizing the importance of High Holy Days and significant moments that we set aside for time in community, God's word, prayer, and praise. These services often do not fall on a typical Sunday, and include Thanksgiving Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.
