Gethsemane has a diverse Music Ministry, with a wide range of styles and a chance for everyone to make a joyful noise! Gethsemane’s Spring Members’ Art Exhibit will be displayed in the Fireside Gallery from March 31 to May 31. Mediums include paintings (miniature to large), fiber, ceramics, sculpture, photography and wood carving.

Gethsemane’s Choirs

Senior Choir

Age: Post High School
Rehearsal: Wednesdays at 7:30 pm
Open to any post-high school singers. Senior Choir will sing for traditional worship services (9:00 am) three times per month.

Voices of Praise

Age: Post High School
Rehearsal: Thursdays at 7 pm
Open to any post-high school singers who enjoy contemporary music. VOP will sing for the contemporary services (11:00 am) twice monthly.

Children’s Choir

Age: Grades 1-6
Rehearsal: Sundays at 10:15 am

Instrumental Ensembles

Gethsemane Orchestra

Age: Grade 7 through Adult
Rehearsal: Occasional rehearsals to prepare for special services. All youth and adults are encouraged to join.

Youth Bells

Age: Grades 5-12
Rehearsal: Wednesdays 5:30-6:15 pm

Jubilation Ringers

Age: Post High School
Rehearsal: Wednesdays at 6:15 pm
Gethsemane’s adult handbell choir is looking for a “few good men/women” to fill out our ranks. If you can count rhythms and have instrumental experience, you might be a good candidate. Call Paul McKenzie for an audition.

Fine Arts Opportunities

Our Fine Arts Committee is comprised of members who are knowledgeable in painting, sculpting and other fine arts. They plan and seek participants for Gethsemane’s revolving art display and also carry out festive and tasteful decorating themes for festival occasions.
