Sacred Harp Singing

6:30 PM in the choir room on the 2nd Monday of the month

Come to sing just for fun!

Anyone is welcome to come and sing on the 2nd Monday of the month in the choir room. A great singing voice is not required! There are no performances, no rehearsals. We gather and sing the songs we choose just for the enjoyment of it.

Also known as Shape Note Singing, this fun pastime was an early-American music education system that grew into community get-togethers before the Civil War, and spread through the south and the eastern seaboard, and which now has groups on every continent, including a Chapter in the Twin Cities, of which we are now a member.
