Sharing God's Story

As a community of faith we are called and equipped to live out our faith in daily life as we learn the Bible Story, share our individual faith stories and celebrate the stories of the ministries happening at and around Gethsemane.

This year our Sunday morning adult education time will focus on how each of these stories connects us to God’s Story. Whether you spend the time between services engaged in Bible Study, occasional adult forums that connect our Sunday-to-Monday faith life, helping to share God’s story with our youngest members through Sunday School or enjoying coffee and refreshments with friends, you are important part of the Gethsemane Story.

Bible Study

Bible Study is offered on Sunday mornings during Education Hour from 9:40 - 10:40 am in the Fellowship Hall. Our next study begins October 3. This seven-week study will include a DVD presentation and guided conversation on the ways that Lutherans use and understand the Bible. This is an ideal entry point for our on-going study of God’s story throughout scripture. No experience necessary; come as you are able.

Behold!, a lectionary based bible study, is held weekly on Thursday mornings at 10 am and Thursday evenings at 7 pm. Participants consider the texts appointed for the coming Sunday.

Men's Bible Study Groups
Men's bible study groups are formed out of the Men's Ministry and meet around each small group's preferred schedule.

Circles
Circles are women's groups that meet for bible study, fellowship and service. See Gethsemane Church Women for more information.
