VBS 2010: Baobab Blast!

The great baobab tree in the expansive African savannah is the setting for this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS.) Mark your calendar for the evenings of July 25-29. God’s Great Get-Together won’t be the same without YOU! All kids ages 3 through 6th grade are welcome!

This exciting get-together has something for everyone in the community to LOVE. Kids will be creating; running, jumping and FOLLOW-ing with action-packed games, amazing new songs; and SHARE-ing the good news with everyone they meet. TRUST us, this is the VBS you don’t want to miss! It’s all about being part of a community, CARE-ing for others, learning about the Bible, and having fun!

The congregation is welcome to join VBS kids and their families for a community meal each evening during VBS. We ask for a $3.00 donation per meal. The menu is:

Sunday: Tater Tot Hotdish
Monday: Hotdogs and Chili
Tuesday: Sandwiches and Salads
Wednesday: Driscoll’s Chicken, Potato Salad and Coleslaw
Thursday: Leftovers!

Sunday School information and registration

Sunday School is held during Education Hour between services at 9:40 am. Click here to download a Sunday School Registration form.

This year we will activate our Sunday School kids faith with a new curriculum called Spark. Spark is a Sunday school faith formation program that empowers kids' creativity and imagination. With Spark, kids open their Bibles each week and engage in Scripture!  Kid’s faith will grow as they encounter God’s Word while participating in activities that reinforce the Bible stories.

Spark lessons are designed to engage every child in active learning!  Age-appropriate lessons designed for multiple intelligences reinforce key points of the stories and help kids get more out of Sunday school, no matter what their learning style may be.

Join us this year as we help our kids be Engaged by God in a Living Faith, at Home, at Church and in the World.

Where is Your Magnet Set?

Show us your Elements of a Living Faith (ELF) magnet set. Take a photo of your Bulletin board, Message center, Refrigerator door, or where ever you put it. Send it us and we will add yours to the photo album on the website. Who knows...maybe then we will have a contest to pick the neatest (or most-messy) fridge door!
